Music Program

STA SENIOR BAND is a fun and dynamic band that performs a variety of repertoire that challenges students’ musical talents. Senior Band is the Grade 10, 11, 12 AMI Courses, second semester. Students work in class to develop as musicians, working on their technique and repertoire, then combine their efforts during monthly ‘Band Mash Ups’. Performances include our annual Spring Music Concert, assemblies, Feeder School Visits to Mother Theresa and St. Mary’s, and more! 

Class Rehearsals, Second Semester 

Named after a famous Jazz Musician Charlie Parker, the ‘Yardbirds’ performs a variety of jazz repertoire that has STA musicians explore improvisation and soloing in a smaller ensemble setting (AMH – Stage Band). Performances include concerts, assemblies, local pubs, and smaller venues. 

First and Second Semester. Rehearsals take place after school.   

Grade 9 Students in AMI10 will begin to learn their musical craft, combine all their musical powers, and form a Grade 9 Monster Band, performing at our annual Winter Cafe. (Semester 1). Further details given in class.
