Unity Club
What does it mean to join the STA Unity Club?• Everyone is always welcome.
• Come to in-person meetings when you want, or when you
can, there is no pressure to attend all or most meetings.
• Participate on-line as much as you want or can. Write,
comment on, react to, read or ignore posts according to
your interest and capacity.
• Have an idea? Share it and we'll try out best to support it.
What are the values and goals?
- Support student lead initiatives.
- Center student voice.
- Empower equity seeking students, especially those who identify as: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Colour), 2SLGBTQIA+, female, neurodivergent, or have a cognitive, mental, or physical disability.
- Promote allyship.
- Call In / Don't Call Out: Celebrate good examples of unifying behaviours. No naming/shaming when behaviour needs improving; find a way to support the change.
