Our Chaplain

Hello students, parents, and visitors!  My name is Chris Vonesch, and I'm excited to be back at STA!  I became the Chaplaincy Leader here at St. Thomas in 2009, witnessing the journey of so many students and staff members over the years.  I was away for the past two years, and I'm grateful to Mrs. Kwok who faithfully served the community in my absence.

I grew up in Alberta, studied lutherie (guitar building) in Saskatchewan and then philosophy and theology in Ottawa as a seminarian.  I worked as a tree-planter in northern Alberta in my younger days, and in the landscaping and construction industry before starting my career as a Chaplain in Russell.  I live with my wife and four amazing children in Cantley, QC.

STA is an amazing place for students to grow and learn!
